CAR RENTAL

Collision, damage and theft of vehicle

By choosing our all-inclusive insurance or insurance with deductible policies, you are covered for collision damage (CDW) and vehicle theft (THW).

You may also request premium insurance coverage payable onsite in most agencies. The benefits of the warranties below are subject to certain conditions included in the general rental conditions of each country and to which you must refer.

Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)

This coverage is specifically recommended for drivers who are not covered by third-party liability coverage in the case of an accident for which they are at fault.

Super Personal Accident Insurance (SPAI)

If you registered for Super PAI insurance, you will benefit from additional coverage to the PAI.

Glass or tire damage (WWI)

This premium insurance covers glass damage happening independently of other damage involving the vehicle and tires in case of a normal flat tire. WWI does not cover tires slashed or damaged by acts of vandalism.

Fire

Vehicle fire is covered by CDW collision insurance except if the client is involved in the circumstances causing the fire.

Loss and Damages (SLDW)

Subscribe as a premium to your all-inclusive policy. This optional insurance allows the total redemption of the deductible in case of damage, accidents caused to the vehicle or theft.

These insurance policies will ensure you total peace of mind. However, they do not relieve you of your obligations to try to avoid any accidents or be sure that the consequences are kept to a minimum.

What is covered by your credit card?

If you decide to opt for the contract without insurance rather than an insurance contract or an all-inclusive policy without deductible, it is important to verify the insurance and warranties covered by your credit card

In this case you must:

  • Hold a valid and admissible credit card;
  • Cover the rental transaction from beginning to end with the same card;
  • Be the card holder and be eligible to rent the vehicle and take possession;
  • Formally refuse the insurance covered by the rental agency.

The protection offered by your credit card is generally limited to the following:

  • One rental vehicle at a time;
  • A non-renewable period of 30 days.

Warning verify if your credit card:

  • Does not impose deductibles;
  • Does not limit the warranty amount;
  • Covers other insurance such as collision damage (CDW), theft (THW), fire, personal accident insurance (PAI), luggage and personal effects (SPAI);
  • Also covers the vehicle category of your choice.
